Intel squeezes 1.8 TFlops out of one processor

Ok, so it's one processor... but it's 80 cores  What is pretty amazing is that it's VERY low power. I don't think we'll see these on the desktop anytime soon.... they even say that.... but it's an interesting feat none the less!

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

ive heard about things like this. before this i had heard about that one that ran at like 300GHz at room temperature... that paired up with the fiberoptic mobos = major leap... but julians right. we will never see this on the market anytime soon... it'll make current tech obsolete. no way a company would kill their current product lineup

Sounds like the perfect application for a cell phone! Think of it, have a conference call in three different languages and let the processor translate in real-time. You could make millions...

I heard about this on TWiT on Monday. It sounds like awesome technology. I can't wait to see what they do with it.
