I've been forgetting my iPod for the passed couple of days (never unpacked it) so I've reverted to listening to GamingFM. It's four streaming radio stations that play nothing but music from games. Plus, if you sign up for a (free) new account, you request two songs an hour... also free.
Also I've been spending a lot of time and OCremix where a bunch of independent DJs and composers remix some popular video game themes. One of the Torrents , Relics of the Chozo, is the entire Super Metroid soundtrack remixed and it sounds great.
Here's a sample: Street Fighter II - Ryu's Stage
For most of the older cartridge games you can download the original soundtrack copied from the cartidge. But, you need a chip player for them. The most capable one I've found is KBMedia player. It's all in Japanese but there is an English patch for it.

Re: Music... from video games?!
For Street Fighter Fans: The people at OCRemix cooked up a remixed soundtrack for SUPER STREET FIGHTER® II TURBO: HD REMIX. Even if you haven't play the HD Remix (which I haven't) it's remix music from Super Street Fighter II Turbo. It all sounds pretty good. Plus, it's available in FLAC!

nice...
for some reason i hadn't ever really played with pandora. anyway, i have been for the last couple of days, and it is great. i have to say that the iphone app on my legacy iphone is way sweeter than i would have expected. it helps make traffic suck less.
