Take the Lotus 1.8 L 11.5:1 engine, puts down 190 hp and 138 tq.

Use that same Toyota engine with an Eaton supercharger at 7 psi and get 243 hp and 174 tq. Ok, not earth shattering or anything, but still, nice bump up for a 1.8.

What kind of engineering crack do you have to be smoking to put a turbo on the Elise/Exige powerplant to run 380 hp and 280 tq?

I kidd you not. Forcfed has made a kit that puts a GT28 turbo and intercooler onto that engine. Double the HP and more than double the torque, all with 11.5:1 CR! Well, they probably are using thicker head gasket, so the CR might be down a bit, but the rod length and piston width (displacement) has not changed and they are using the stock crank.

That's freaking nuts. I bet that car is a blast to drive though. The list of modifications is.... LONG. I can't even begin to imagine how much that is going to cost.

Well put it this way, you can buy another Elise and three years of gas for the amount of money the kit costs. ($45K)

Well, it is either that, or drop $580K on a Saleen S7 twin turbo if you wanted to go .2 sec slower in 0-60...
