Game: Spore

Post by Sabre »

Hey all,
I've been watching Spore(watch the intro flash come into it's own. It looks simply amazing and guess what... it actually has GAME PLAY. That's got to be a first for a game in a long time... but I digress. Recently, Business Week got a chance to test play it. Why them, I have no idea, but what is important is these guy realized how good of a game it is. They also kept commenting on how simple it was to control, which is not a bad thing considering how many key I use to control some games!

Thoughts?

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

spore has been lurking around for quite a while now. I'm sure it will be really good, and I'm sure we won't see it until AT LEAST this Christmas... maybe later.

Yeah I first heard about the idea of Spore back when I used to watch G4 (before it became the All Star Trek network). Seeing first scenes of it, it looks pretty cool. I'm not really a big fan of "Sim/ God complex" games (they move a tad slow for my liking) but at least this one seems to be doing something new with the idea.

yeah i like the way the game is set up.. it sounds like as you progress through the game the gameplay style rapidly changes with each phase of life... that just rocks. it looks like they used 3DS Max to create those character models.... which is interesting also... because i can use that... hm.. DCAWD subaru monster anyone?
