The 1addict guys are in the planning stages for a trip to Nürburgring the weekend of August 11. I know it's a crazy idea but some of y'all are crazy people. It would be nice to see some of the old crew and to get to show you the 'Ring.
Much love to my DC peeps. I miss y'all...
Anyone down for a European vacation?

Who want's to check out Amsterdam and go to a BMW Club track day?
The guy that organized the Stelvio Pass trip went out with these guys at Spa and had a great time. Another regular with our group and this one is a super cool Dutch guy with a 1M. Good people, good track, good cheese, good museums: what more do you want?!?The Dutch BMW club is scheduling another track day at Zandvoort, Holland. For the cost of 10 or so laps at the ring, you can drive all day here with the BMW club from Holland. You could probably run 30+ laps if you are dedicated like we were at Spa. Anyone game?
To register, go to: http://www.bmwdriversdays.nl/en/subs...0_oktober_2012
Circuit Park Zandvoort 10 oktober 2012
Here you can register for the track day organized on the circuit of Zandvoort.
This day is open for all brands and also non-members may participate, however BMW sare privileged when limited places are available.
The price is €250,-- each car for members. Non-members participation adds €25,-- euro to the costs(Advance payment is required).
For everyone's safety, each car must pass a technical inspection. Each participant must follow the briefing. Open cars can only participate if they meet our conditions (see under circuit information)
The Board reserves the right to refuse participants.

Free room and board is on the table. Flights start getting cheaper as summer winds down.

Legendary Nürburgring track goes bankrupt
If you're thinking about coming for a visit, you might want to think about coming before the end of the year...The current season of events at the Ring will probably continue, but the future will depend on the administrators. They are obliged to get as much value out of the situation as possible for the creditors, the largest of which is the Rhineland Palatinate state.

Re: Anyone down for a European vacation?
A group of businessmen convinced the local government (Nurburgring was publicly owned) to invest a TON of money into "improvements" to make the 'Ring into a Disneyland type experience and then let them manage it. The improvements did not bring huge numbers of additional visitors. The track has been hemorrhaging money even since.Sabre wrote:WOW, just WOW. How the hell does a track like that go bankrupt!?!?!?
