Looks like Ford has remembered its pony car roots.
1.) Make car
2.) Put bigger engine in car and call it a iconic brand name
3.) Competitor puts in more powerful engine
4.) Put in even bigger engine Repeat.
5.8L? Check. Supercharger? Check.
Is it just me or do the exhaust manifolds look crappy and small? Maybe that is the 2014 MY upgrade...

The ports look about right considering the piston size, but I'll be damned if the piston-to-piston clearances look like they'll take much boost! There is just not a lot of meat in there!!!
For reference:
I'll give them one thing: They know their audience! Amuuuricans like to go fast in a straight line. Now you have (if you order the limited slip performance package) a car that can do that. Oh, you didn't get a fancy limited slip? lol, you have fun with that...

Nope, EJ257. Easy way to tell is this is a semi-closed deck. The 22 is a closed deck:
You can punch those suckers out to 2.6 and be fine!

Zak: lol, I believe we are in disagreement! EJ257 is a semi-closed deck, EJ22 is a closed deck. Google the pictures if you don't believe me. My first picture was a EJ257, my second a EJ22. Looks like you have a EJ22 there!
P.S. Are those Swantech coatings on those pistons?

Yes, Julian's first pic was plain EJ257.
My response pic was an EJ257 that had been cast filled to make a closed deck, and sleeved. That is a Cobb Tuner Series Phase 3 with ceramic crown application and dry molybdenum skirt coating on the 99.5 mm piston.
The non EJ22E blocks are cast closed deck from the factory where this EJ257 was not, but this one had post casting work done on it to close the deck. Thus making it look similar to an EJ22.
