EJ205 learning to knock?

Post by zaxrex »

I can't understand it, but at the same ign. advance, boost, WI, and fuel, I'm getting knock. Same setup as before accident, but can't run the normal TXS dyno-tuned map much less the "zaxrex special WI map".

Can an engine learn how to knock??>>>...
Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears

Well, this is kind of odd since your one of the experts ;) Some thoughts:
What's your oil pressure like? AFR's? Have you thought about cleaning (the carbon) out the engine? I know there are a couple of places that offer it and some kits to do it yourself. As sad as it might be, you might have to retard the timing one or two degree's :(

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
