Congrats! The last year of the good body style! Wish the new one had that body still.
I assume you are done with the other car?

oooh, the lip looks really good. Trash the suspension as soon as you can. The factory one is worthless!

I am loving this car
I took her out on the local handling course and it was a blast. Torque steer is fun/scary. The current tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's (215/45/18) and they have over 15K on them. I am definitely looking to do the a downpipe and exhaust ASAP.

I agree with the video: if you're going to drive a completely stock vehicle the Mazda is the one to go with.
if, on the other hand, you are interested in modifications...

This. I concur. Also, this was the first of the newer WRX the 2009 and 2010 have upgraded power and suspension...I think the seating is slightly better now, too...IIRC.
I do really like the mazdaspeed3...only thing it is really lacking: AWD.

Bought my Speed3 some goodies: Hypertech programmer, Street Unit Test Pipe, and CPe RMM!
The Hypertech tuner sure woke this car up. I am very impressed.

I also installed the CPe RMM (65 duro) last week. She vibrates a bit, but should mellow out in a few hundred miles. Car feels tight snd responive now. Before I could feel the trans struggling. She kept wanting to spit me out of 2nd gear and I could hear the stock mount scream for help when I shut the car off.
Here is what my stock mount looks like with only 36k on her:
Test pipe will go in soon! Moar Torque and HP please!

Hopefully the newer engines are better at handing mods than the previous generation.
Definitely looks like they enjoyed the upgrades!!! Let us know how it feels when you do it!

The motors are built fine the issues lies in tuning. This is why I went with the canned Hypertech vs the COBB AP. The fuel pump is bacially maxed out (safely) with the HT and intake. Bolt on a DP and you put too much demand on the fuel pump. This equates to Zoom Zoom Boom (ZZB). You either have to buy a new high pressure fuel pump or HPFP internals. The HT allows me to also remove to stock 0-60 limitations. The car pulls nice all the way to redline.
Grip is the issue, but the new RMM nad the 245 series tires help alot. Spring and shock may come soon with COBB re-releasing their springs. The lower the car slightly but were developed for max performace.
I also have a Turbo Intet Pipe on its way and will install it and the test pipe soon. These are my final go fast bits. I see no reason to get a DP, HFP, FMIC, and a AP with this car. Too much power in a FWD car but it been done.
Nice video of some local MazdaSpeeders:

Oh and 700WHP:

Very happy to hear that the motors are now good and it's just a matter of tuning!
That's pretty wild that they have hit 700WHP!

CPE is a great Maryland small business. I fully support spending as much money as possible with them.

I got to install the Test Pipe over the weekend. Nice improment!!!
Before the TP my car would bog down and after shifting gears, that is now gone. I have a nice constant pull which makes me happy. Drone is not very noticible, but the backfires are!
