Decided to go out real quick after getting home from work and install my newly acquired Subtle Solutions heat shield and throw on two red KB hangers on the axleback.

Well, the shroud went on real easy but one problem. No cutout for the hood arm holder thingy. So...

I remembered my Garage XTi hood struts that I purchased from a group buy a century ago. Why not?

So I set to installing those. The sun started to go down and so did the already low temperature. My girlfriend was frozen waiting to help hold the hood for one second so she busted out her D90 and started to take pics all over the place.

Got the struts on and the shroud. Here are some pics she took (so much better than my crappy crackberry shots):

Thanks, guys! Yeah, she is pretty awesome. She was going to buy me new KYB struts for Christmas but not sure yet...I gave her a list so we'll see She also spent this whole day with me waiting on my car at IAG. Had a 60k service done along with installing KB botox bolts, KB red hangers, smoked rear taillight protection film (finally, right?), and fixing a broken (overlooked from the accident) rsb bracket and bushing. I will get more new pixs later
