THIS SUNDAY: imprt vs dmstic ***UPDATED***
updated!!1 check out page two and post up if you want to go. kthxbye
I am definitely going on Sunday, I've been at this event every year for the last five or so years. It's a great time and the air is just filled with rivalry.
Have you ever seen a tubbed 5-liter GT get blown away by a honda hatch?
Have you ever seen the way a Supra picks up on the back 1/8?
Have you ever seen an El Camino wheelstand 3/4 of the track?
If the answer to any of the above is no... then you need to check this out.
linky1(pdf)
linky2
post up if you're interested in meeting up and heading out to the races. shoot me a pm if you need my cell number. hope to see some DCAWD representing.

Julian,
You REALLY missed out last year when Matt (Thermobox) and I went... You should DEFINITELY try and make this one. So many crazy fast cars...
Matt is going to be there very early, so I won't be driving there with him. But I am planning on meeting up with him once I get there.
EVERYONE TRY AND MAKE THIS SHOW. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
Bump for this Sunday

Where are you all leaving from, love to meeetup if it's on the way.
It's 15 to get in, 20 to show, 30 to race. The competition is crazy there, so unless you're running LOW LOW LOW 10's don't expect to make it past the first round. Last year in my class (Street Renegade) the bump spot for the FIRST heat was lowered to a 10.2! Lossa fast fast cars there.
Which IM did you go with? Teh Magnus? Or is this a one off custom?
As far as a meeting place is concerned, I'd have to look at the directions there and see what I can find... Let me browse around for a little while and I'll post up what might be the best meeting place.
And it's ALWAYS a good idea to travel to/from in packs. Every single county and town (in addition to the state po-po) have advance notice of this event (last drag race of the season, etc) so they are out in FULL force. I wouldn't wanna be riding by myself going 10 over... You're just begging to get profiled.
I'll post up meeting points soon.

Okay, here's the dealeo.
It looks like the closest thing to a central meeting point from teh MD ppls as well as the further south VA and western VA ppls is ...Alexandria.
I figure we could do this a couple different ways. We could:
Meet at the Hoffman (right off of 95)
or
Meet at my place in old town (right off GW parkway)
The gates open at 1000, but I wouldn't even consider getting there before 1100. It's going to be about an hour drive from Alexandria. So if we met up in Alexandria by 1000 or 1030 we could be there before lunchtime.
The show usually ends right around 5 or 6, but this is COMPLETELY dependent upon track conditions (accidents, etc) I usually stay until mid afternoon (~4-ish) unless the competition gets really really good.
Okay, so I need opinions now. Let me know where you want to meet. Let me know if the times are okay. Let me know if you're going to make it.
I can provide directions, coffee and red bull. Let's do this!!!!
