Exactly my point

this is an excerpt from a review of the new Z06 but it also expresses my view of tuning the WRX to extreme levels:
The one drawback of the Z06, or any Corvette, is that it's just not much fun around town. Oh, it's fine but suburban driving feels like taxi-ing your fighter jet out to the runway. There's no point to whipping a Corvette around a corner in your subdivision because, really, nothing whips. It just goes around the corner. That's the drawback of any ultra-high-performance car, though. It's hard to push the envelope when the envelope's just so darned big.

valid point,

but by the same token I will easily drive 15-20 miles out of my way just to enjoy a twisty backroad in my car. I'm fine with not being able to "enjoy" every facet of the car during my three mile commute to work...

and I mean really, how *terrible* a thing is that anyways??? ;) i mean come on... what an *awful* problem... <crying> waaaaaaah, my supercar can't go 300km/h when i go to the grocery store </crying>

know what i mean? i'm pretty sure i'd MUCH rather have the supercar that's booooooo-ring around town.

cause i can always get away for a fun drive....

"it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow."

Ok, so basically what I read is "You'll never be able to use the car to it's full potential on normal streets". Is that really even a finding? We can't use our cars to their full potential on the street either... :jerkit: Atleast we can use our's during the winter time!
