So, I'm finally getting around to upgrading my springs/struts. Here is what I was thinking about getting.
Tokico D-Spec Struts
RCE Wagon Springs
Scooby 921 Spacers
Group N Top hats for front and rear.
What are your thoughts and opinions?
Install day to follow....

I think it's a great streetable setup. Looking forward to the install day.
[PSA] Remember kids, strut tower bolts should be torqued to 13ft-lbs and break very easily! [/PSA]

Very good choices for a street/track set-up. You will not be disappointed.

Don't forget the spring compressors for taking out the stock suspension.
Or on another note, in the future, if you decide to replace your setup with the stock pieces, don't forget the spring compressors. Ask my how I know...

I've been thinking about getting a set of the Tokico D-Spec strut/spring packages for a while now.
I should probably do this before the AutoX class...

Parts ordered today

. I decided not to go with the Group N rear top mounts, just the fronts.

where/when do you plan on doing the install?

Well, I ordered from TiC. They offer drop shipping for their struts packages. So, I'm not exactly sure when they will be arriving. Plus the top hats are out of stock

. So, I'm thinking the second or third week in May would be a safe bet. I have a one car garage at my place also. Its a little bit of a squeeze/contortion involved, but could work.

All parts have been received

. I was thinking about doing the install either the 9th or 16th of May. Would anyone be around to help out?

Wow, thanks everyone. Let's shoot for the 16th then. I have your basic set of tools: jack stands, floor jack, wrenches, torque wrench and socket wrenches. I would like to replace the clutch fluid with some ATE also.

I am running Stock hats on my coilovers...how much do the Group N's help?
I have access to Ft. Myer's Auto shop. Everything you need is there and it is only $6 an hour. I'll cover your costs if you help put in my uppipe and DP
We can do a little install fest there.
* one guy gave my brother trouble since we both had our cars up on the lifts. They don't mind helpers, but if they don't have a military ID they can't work on their car by themself (something along those lines).
I estimate 2hrs max for your suspension. I snapped 2 of those top hat bolts and had to order a new top had, so I have taken my front suspension off 3 times. It is pretty easy. I may take them off again and add locking washers on top of the struts to quiet them down.
Let me know if you guys are down for this and I can arrange it.
Autoshop hours: 9am - 5pm

This sounds like a great idea! Does anyone have any issues with a change in venue? My military idea expired a few years back

Do they have spring compressors there?

yup...I did my coil overs there.
I talked to the guy at Hotbits coil overs and I need to put some bushings in between the top spring hat and bearing on the mount to stop the clunking. He sent them to me but I think I lost one
