I dunno, but I like the Brain Dave in your avatar. It makes me feel smarter than I am.

Keep in mind I'll have to move stuff once the rally plates/numbers are on but it's a nice proof of concept if you want to call it that.

Finally done. Got the roof scoop to a close approximation of what it'll look like when complete as well as the door mirrors. It's like having a blank canvas... Best part is it's set up so I can easily change the color of anything I want (mainly the car). So if I want it to be a slightly different shade or a totally different color I can do it in 3 seconds.

So the first livery design prototypes are done. Just did a few colors. More than likely it will be the red though. Still need to add sponsor logos. Just figured I'd get these out the door now to give an idea of what the final product will likely look like.

on the side view I'd put the "revenant raceworks" above the rear tire and make the logo larger or maybe angle it across the tire /o .
but I'm not a graphic designer...

I had actually considered it when I started and then somewhere along the line it slipped my mind to try. I think I was so focused on the individual aspects that I missed the obvious solution to the size.

My exhaust sponsor is now hooking me up with their newly designed twin-scroll turbo kit. The numbers that have been coming out of testing have been wild. I'll be utilizing the EVO 6.5 TME turbo with this setup... more news on this later!! :banana2: :banana2: :banana2: :banana2:

It's a very unique EL setup that allows the use of mitsubishi turbos. The build quality is fantastic and I'm very excited for the opportunity to use this.

For more info on this setup I'll let their news announcement speak for itself
Current Turbo options:
3 turbine housings to choose from – 9, 9.8 and 10.5cm (larger turbos must run 10.5cm)
Mak Attak - oem Evo 6.5 RS TME (anti lag approved, titanium turbine wheel and shaft)
Little Dragon – oem Evo 9 (44 lb/min)
White Dragon – FP White 68 HTA (47 lb/min)
NV Dragon – FP Green 73 HTA (55 lb/min)
Red Dragon – FP Red (60 lb/min)
Black Plague – FP Black (68 lb/min)
More on that later as well

In the meantime heres a preview of the office chair...

Just for spools sake, I wouldn't go over a 55lbs/min wheel... and I'd even go smaller than that. Even at 400whp, your light car is going to haul some serious ass.

I have no desire to get even close to 400whp. Bear in mind also that I will have a 34mm restrictor on the inlet. The primary goal is fast spool. The anti-lag is also a nice option but totally unnecessary for me at this point. I doubt that will stop me from playing aroudn with it from time to time.

Just a FYI: Anti-lag kills turbo's pretty quickly :(

Pardon the ignorance, but how come people don't do this :

- Adjust wastegate DC to run turbo at a semi fixed RPM (tapering with engine RPM, but always at least the turbo rpm needed for full boost @ current [and nearby higher] RPMs)
- Put a pressure dump/leak valve on the charge pipe
- never let it spool down, just leak excess intake pressure to atmosphere
- run custom ecu to manage everything

???

Would that be any better/worse than a 5th injector PAP PAP PAPing the turbine?

But I guess the issue is really off-idle lag, not really mid rpm to max rpm lag.
In which case, you don't even have the gas to stay spooled with closed wastegates.

I am pretty sure you have to run a new turbo every race if not a couple during depending on length of the course.

ALS does indeed kill turbos quickly. However that's the reason why the turbo I'm using has titanium bits inside. It was actually designed to have anti-lag. It's still rough on the bearings...but... it's designed to be able to take it for a longer period of time.

That being said, I'm not going to be running it all the time anyways. This will spool up so fast the benefit will be almost negligible. Mostly the ALS is just a fun experiment since the turbo can take it.

It's pretty great. Apart from being more able to take ALS... the titanium wheel is apparently 30% lighter thus resulting in even faster spool.

Well the trip to New York went well. The primary goal was to get the car tailor made for my dimensions and driving position. This is a step that some skip but putting the extra effort into tailoring the car exactly for me should provide an even better result.

So basically the two big items on the list were to finish the seat mounts for the driver seat and figure out a steering wheel mounting solution. Both were accomplished and the end result is fantastic.

There are far too many pics so here is a link to the picasa album so you can view them yourself.
