Thanks guys  I need some extra hands on the project so it's time to bring some outsiders in. I need to get a plan/schedule set up.

And that, my dear friend, is the only way to keep something like this going!

Might have HUGE news... we are talking leaps and bounds here... but I'm not tipping my hand just yet. It seems whenever I do very bad things happen. But Lets just say I might deviate slightly from the original plan and drop the motor/trans into something entirely more sexy.... I shall say no more on this until things are finalized. You man now discuss among yourselves.

First you break my wagon, then you ditch the GC? This better be some super cool upgrade, for your sake..

Also, is this a MT? Just keep it in gear that is opposite direction to the direction it can roll (i.e. if it could roll forward, leave in reverse...and vice versa)

BTW, that is a freakin' sweet foundation for your engine 8)

Seller called... crying... saying after soul searching he decided he cannot sell me the car and that he apologizes for the inconvenience and that he'll refund everything. The car is up for sale since mid-august... I am in discussion with him to buy it for weeks.. he told me how attached he was to the car so I even gave him the opportunity to not sell, but after 3 days he said great and I started the process. Even updated his page saying it was sold

http://www.rs25.com/forums/f171/t114669 ... -baby.html

And then 2 days before its supposed to ship, he decides he wants to keep it....

That's right never mind that i had already spent a good bit of money on this and now have to cancel shipping plans, cancel the turbo order, and now will have a hunk of cash that was committed to a vehicle just sitting around. Anyone know of any great swapped GCs for sale?

EDIT:
I now find out this guy is an unstable neoconservative nut job. Things start to make a bit more sense.

I should also add. This is just a minor speed bump. I have a hunk of money just laying around now. mmmm mods.

Buying an air compressor and more tools on Tuesday and my one buddy (who builds cars regularly) is coming over and we are going to just work on it non-stop until the GC is together.

No more fucking about. I apparently cannot rely on buying what I want.

It's time to build.

Haha you should hear some of the guys in the community. They are in an uproar. I've had guys I know in certain undisclosed businesses say they would refuse to do business with this guy from now on. Granted I highly doubt that they would turn down money or even be sure it was him.... but hey it's the thought that counts right

Well the search for a car continues but in the meantime it's time for an update on the rally build:

First up on the build list is the rollcage. This will be handled by Andrew Havas from Team Havspeed. He has a history in the sport and his work is quality. After spending a fair bit of time talking with him he has taken personal interest in the project. Work begins in less than a month. The car will be built for Open Class and will feature some new ideas/methods that I'll disclose later.

Just for kicks and a micro-plug, he is currently preparing for the comeback of the FIA Rallye International Charlevoix. Here's a quick vid of Andrew racing back in 2001.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYuu6MkkOM4

On the suspension front it looks like the first choice will be RSSP. This is not concrete yet though.
