Boy that's a shame.
I've been following badaboom since their first press release. I was reeeeeeeely hoping that GPU accelerated encoding/transcoding was going to become the way of the future.
It's just so
slow right now! A new breakthrough is needed (IMHO)
(and yes, I know. stop bitching and get to coding. got it.)

I'm guessing that in time, Badaboom will beat Handbrake in both quality and speed honestly. GPU's are made to do this sort of thing. I have a feeling a couple or two releases from now, this will be debated again and the outcome will be very different.
