Hello All,
I'm Anthony, 24 and moved to DC area last January. I dive a modded black '97 Talon TSi fwd and recently purchased an '08 STI, WTB w/ Gold BBS. Someone w/ the license plate STI WOOT spotted my car at Luckys in springfield a few months ago. I used to live in Alexandria, but now moved to Chantilly. I'm a mechanical Engineer working at a satellite and data communication business. Graduated from Univ of Central Florida '07. I'll post some pictures when I have some extra time. Anyone going to Shamrock fest? I'll try to make it out to a meet if theres one next week.

-Anthony

Hello and welcome. :) If they were PA plates, that would have been Chuck aka Libra Monkee.

STI W00T would be me. Hi I'm Libra Monkee. IRL some call me Chuck, you don't want to know what else they call me. Glad you finally made your way here!

There are no scheduled meets next week but there IS one on Wednesday and we'll be having one another in two weeks at a location to be determined.

Not sure if I'll make to Shamrock Fest this year. For some reason every time I go to a "HiBall Event" someone ends up hurt or sick. But I'd still like to go and if I end up there I'll see if I can meet up.

Welcome to the boards! With any luck, we'll get you away from driving a stock Subaru in no time. ;)

Welcome to the boards/group! We do meets bi-weekly, one in the Springfield area and the other floating at different places. There are actually a good few Engineers/IT guys/girls on here. I'm an Electrical Engineer by training and most of the time by trade, haha.

Yeah, we need more Talons like the good old days.
Come on out, and you will only be encouraged to spend small percentages of your paycheck on unecessary "upgrades" in the guise of maintenance.

Just like I had to replace the transmission, axles, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and my manifold for an exhaust leak?

Shit, if we keep this up, we might scare this guy away. :rolllaugh:

I know the feeling of upgrading. The talon runs pretty strong I just need some better tuning. I was think of checking out MACH V up in sterling. Anyone been there?

I'll have to take more pics of the Talon. I only found these on my comp.

What, it's not customary to swap for a V8 when I run out of gas?

:lol2:

I've never had Mach V tune my car but they have a decent reputation. as you know, tuning is everything for a turbo vehicle...

I was at Mach V a bunch for open houses / dyno days a couple years back. Back then it was Mach V selling parts and another company doing tuning out of the space, most folks were happy with that second company (most, not all) and a mixed bag with Mach V (there is a wide range of opinions about Dan and Mach V, mostly involving his pricing). I don't know anyone who's been tuned by Mach V recently. I'm sure if you check out NASIOC you'll come up with someone.
