I saw a new Acura TL on the road yesterday. I knew from pictures that the big shield on the front looked hideous - and it does IRL. But what really shocked me was, well, pretty much every angle was equally hideous. My God, how does a product planner look at that and think "Yes! That's the styling direction we need to take with our premium cars!" ? Holy crap that's terrible!

Has anyone else seen these in the flesh? Thoughts? Am I just a cranky old man?

Yeah, I totally agree w/ you. I have only seen one white TL that didn't make me want to hurl and that was because it upgraded its wheels to some sweet larger ones which saved it. Everything else about the car is nice, though...and w/ the TL Type S coming out w/ AWD and 6spd...seems like a great deal except for two things: ugly and expensive.

I saw an Autoblog posting about an Acura dealer that's been painting the "cattle catcher" to match the body. it does that car a world of good.
