Unfortunately it will not. Its positioned on the car, and partially tack-welded.

So are you getting a full custom exhaust or just having the cans put on the back of the existing exhaust?

If by 'having the cans put on' you mean that I'm measuring, cutting, and welding stainless in my garage at night (though not necessarily in that order), then yes!

edit: I suppose I should clarify that I'm adjusting the angle where the cans meet the SPT y-pipe. Its close, just not perfect.

I'm going this route due to the fact that I have a potential buyer for the SPT cans only, and he would be mounting them to a stock y-pipe.

Its not a huge project, but you have to align everything, mark, remove, cut, align, mark, remove, weld, mount. Takes time.

Yeah, thats one thing that's easier to gain with Imprezas and Foresters is the boxer rumble with the 2.5-3" monotubes. Unfortunately the double-barrels rob you of that resonation.

I've gone through a Borla and SPT on the Leggy, and neither had a terribly deep tone. A bit louder than stock, but similar pitch. I looked into Megan, but I think the story was the same there.

The two that I know are quite deep for the Legacy are Agency Power and Stromung. Agency Power is overkill on the decibels.

Hopefully I'll prefer Stromung FTW.

LOL, it is.

I bought them, posted the project, but still knew it would be 2 weeks before I got the cans in the mail, then affixed to the car.

Project completed as of yesterday. :D Pics to follow as soon as I get a nice day and a wash/wax.

the cutouts in the bumper need to be modified to fit the twin outlets IMHO. otherwise it looks good, looking forward to hearing it in person.

Affirmative. Sounds just like the one above. Not terribly loud or raspy. But the only Legacy exhaust I've tried thus far that actually has a baritone rumble to it.

You'll have to let me know what you think of mine when you see it. By adjusting the hangars, mine tucks under the stock cutouts another 0.5" or so judging from these photos.

However, as a result the tips protrude a bit more than perhaps they would have. Looks more in-your-face agressive. Not unlike ///M5 tips.
