Body — Handmade Aluminum
So is the aluminum handmade? Or is the body handmade out of aluminum?
And who the hell makes body panels by hand anymore?
I'm sorry but you can bet your ass a machine can stamp aluminum panels much better than a person can make them by hand.
Aston Martin's new slogan:
Aston Martin: A model for inefficiency and inaccuracy!

The problem I see for this concept, is that the worst competition for an Aston Martin... is another Aston Martin.
Do I buy the good looking Aston? They all have subtle, curvy architecture that makes them all even harder to tell apart than 911s. That makes conspicuous consumption difficult.
Do I buy the V12 Aston? In which case the DBS V12 and V12 Vantage RS can likely be had for about an eighth of what this will go for (am I mistaken in that it was originally rumored at a million
pounds? so almost twice-a-million-dollar car!)
Do I buy the one that uses aluminum and CF in its construction? Again, thats Aston Martin for ya.
Obviously you have to give your arm from the wrist down to have an Aston. And from there, they require more of your limbs to get the faster and more exclusive ones.
But to me this won't even
look like it is more exclusive, or have performance to justify its rediculous price hike over a Vantage with a V12 shoehorned up front. Its just more difficult to build! Interesting tactic

Aston releases more pictures.
It's shrouded in mystery... and lack of light.

hah, sure seems like it
I have difficulty distinguishing the various Astons, but in the end, I'd sleep with any of the family members

This is like the Lambo Reventon. Its how much faster for how much more money?
I think the big selling point here is exclusivity. Aston Martin doesn't make an ugly car, so why pay 2 million clams for something that looks and sounds just as beautiful for $100K?

It's finally tangible! But still not finished.
Dr. Ulrich Bez... revealed the Aston Martin One-77 today at the Geneva Motor Show, he paraphrased the classic Rolls-Royce performance description: The performance of the One-77 is "more than enough", as if there could be such a thing in a supercar. Nonetheless, this will be one seriously fast machine.

It seems there was a typo in the article but I have found the correction:
"This beautiful creation is made of 100% pure unobtainium".

That thing look MEAN! The rear suspension setup is pure sex... then I read this:
The engine itself starts off from the same block casting used for the 6.0-liter V12 in other contemporary Aston Martins. In the 7.3-liter form used for the One-77, it gets "unique cylinder heads, unique crank, rods, pistons, cams and intake system. In fact, the only straight carryover part is the timing chain." All together, it should amount to something in the neighborhood of 750 horsepower. Development work on the new engine was done in collaboration with Cosworth, with the race engine builder using its proprietary casting processes to manufacture the V12 block since its introduction.
And I had to gab a towel...
