Hey guys,

I'm new here and I just checked out a white 06 STI at Honda of Tysons and saw the DCAWD sticker. I was just wondering if any of you guys knew the owner of it prior to him trading it in? From what I could see from the exterior here's a description:

- 36,525 miles
- WRX wing swap
- Silver BBS' wrapped with Kumho's
- V-Limited front lip (replica I think)
- Tint, somewhere around 35% all around
- DCAWD sticker in the rear windshield near the bottom
- Yellow smiley face sticker on the rear passenger window
- COBB catback/ turboback
- Alpine single din cd player

Anyone know him or of the car? I may be picking it up.

But to answer your question, I would not hesitate to purchase that car.

yep. we know him and the car. if it's a good price scoop it up. i hate stealerships and try and avoid purchasing from them unless it's new but we can vouch for the car.

I saw it on a dyno at PTuning's open house: that car is a very strong STi. it was well modded and well looked after. get a good price from the Stealership and take good care of her.

Cool, that's good to hear. Were there any serious mods that should be aware of? I just wanna know in the back of my head that the car hasn't been beaten to death, ya know? But it's hard to not think that way knowing what kinda car it is and what it was made for.

all Cobb parts IIRC. the car participated in 1 autocross day, no track days, no accidents. if I had the cash I would have bought the car in a heartbeat.

they were supposed to remove the decals. the dcawd one is kind of jacked up so i left it on there for them to deal with. weird.

and no, i never beat the hell out of it. hell, when i test drove it, the previous owner basically called me a pu**y and told me to drive faster. colin was there. he can attest. the clutch has never been dumped.

I don't know Ben, as much as I don't want to admit it your ride was one of the cleanest around. So how is the RSX? pics? Did you look at the MS3 before the purchase?

as much as i hated selling it, i was spending way too much per month to justify driving it basically to/from work, and i need the extra scratch right now. i wanted a used leggy gt or speed3 but i couldn't find a decent manual leggy gt at the price i wanted to spend, and the speed3s are still fetching a pretty penny used (except for a black one at rosenthal mazda that was sold in about 3/10 of a second). the rsx is what it is... a cheap, reasonably fun daily driver that's easy on gas and comfortable for long trips if the need arises. it's certainly no torque-monster like the sti, but it's a lot more comfy on arlington/dc roads.

i still want a leggy gt or spec b. perhaps the next go-round during my neverending quest to keep up with colin in our pursuit of auto-industry profitability.
