FS NoVA: 2006 WRX 17" Wheels *SOLD*

Post by complacent »

Hey,

I've got a set of 06 WRX 17's that I am not going to need for my project. Wheels are in great shape with some light curbage on two wheels. Anyone interested? Would be great for a spare set/track set/winter set/dd set. Asking $250.

As I am not up-to-snuff on the various bolt patterns that Subaru used for different models/model years ... can anyone say if these would fit a 2002 WRX wagon?

I wonder if they'd look good on my car, though...

they should. afaik, the only oddball in the impreza family is the sti with its 5x114.3 bolt pattern. all the wrx models play nicely together.

i'm probably wrong, but oh well.

So a second set of stock FXT 16 alloys like the ones you already have?

No. The wheels you saw are my winter wheels, as in the only set of stock FXT 16s that I own.

For summer wheels I went with Tarmac IIIs in bronze (18 x 8 ). I thought I had told you while I was at your place...?

I bought the WRX 17's just in case the FXT 16's didn't clear the 4pot/2pot setup I had picked up. The FXT 16's cleared the brakes, so I sold the WRX 17's.

I have the memory of an old tree frog so you probably did tell me (it is funny what stress and lack of sleep can do to your mind). If I didn't have a badge w/ my face and name on it, I would probably wonder endlessly in search of who I was

Good choice on the wheels! They should look pretty sharp on your ride! Are you planning on upgrading the grill? The do-it-yourself grill mod is pretty easy to do...just takes a little time and a lot of patience. I went through 3 tries before I got it to where I wanted it. All you really need is powder coated mesh (off ebay), utility knife, 2 screwdrivers (flathead and philips), fine grit sandpaper, any badges you want mounted on the grill (optional), construction adhesive (for mounting badges so they will never come off...optional), primer spray paint, top color spray paint (up to you on color but I would recommend black  ) and that is it (IIRC).
