no reason to drive all that way and sit in a parking lot all day if he isn't gonna have a go.Libra Monkee wrote:Okay count me in. My dad says he's interested in coming to watch. I'm trying to get him to participate though.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

With as long as you babbled about autox last night, you're an expert.DrSeuss wrote:Expert?!?! I'm more like a novice (less than a year of AutoX). I suck big time plus I'll be driving a lowly civic. All you subarus got me beat by 40+ HP! Plus I'm running skinny little tires.10.) Andy - Civic - ?Expert? - Paid

Ok, Brian has confirmed the parking lot is available for 03JUN, so thats our date. Three spots left, and a couple folks that need to get me money. Once we get all the cash in I'll get Brian paid, he'll reserve the lot, and we're set! Any friends, family, coworkers, etc that may want to join in, let them know!
If we fill up this one, we may organize a second class later in the summer (or early fall), so if this round doesn't work out there may be another chance.

Anyone who talks about putting 275's on a Civic is a force to be had.DrSeuss wrote:Expert?!?! I'm more like a novice (less than a year of AutoX). I suck big time plus I'll be driving a lowly civic. I doubt it. The 225/45/13 weighs 16 lbs by itself and the new 255/40/13 uses this mold with a spacer inserted to make it wider without having to create a whole new mold for the tire $$$$.complacent wrote:I'm trying to wrap my mind around those numbers...moxnix wrote:The new 255/40/13 is due out on April 21st and should be a better choice for most civics.
That's got to yield a sub-15lb wheel/tire combo!
These are the things I like about this new size.
255/40ZR-13
Estimated Tread Width - 9.5"
Estimated Section Width - 10.3"
Overall Diameter - 20.6"

Unfortunately due my brake swap I don't think I can fit anything smaller than a 14" wheel. I have Integra brakes front and rear.moxnix wrote: No real reason to put 275's on a civic right now unless you have a lot of HP. BTW what brand is the new 255/40/13? Hoosier or Kumho?
