D&D Experience Tempts Gamers with Taste of 4E

Next weekend's D&D Experience event, the annual gathering of RPGA members, has all the usual trappings: gaming, miniatures events, and also something special: a unique opportunity to try out a number of unique D&D products before anyone else!

• Play with the 4th Edition D&D rules and maybe get the opportunity to game with Ed Greenwood himself!

• Try out the latest variant of the D&D Miniatures game.

• Explore the D&D Insider online application, which will let players from around the world collaborate and game.

The D&D Experience will be held February 28 to March 2 in the Hyatt Regency - Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia.

just thought it was funny that it was being held in Crystal City. I wouldn't mind checking out the miniature war-games but I'm not interested in pushing them around a table all night. at least not anymore.

There's a crazy amount of conventions that happen in crystal city.

i see 'cons of the anime and cosplay type all the time in crystal city. it's pretty funneh to be walking to lunch during the work week and some choad carrying a 7ft cardboard sword is walking past.

How can you tell the difference between the generals from the pentagon and the cosplay people?

But, on-topic, I used to play alot (junior high especially, a little in highschool and college [yes, D&D can be a drinking game]), and at one point this would have been a blast to go to. Now, every dollar I've 'invested' is wasted as they've come out with new rules...

LOL WUT?

I've done some nerdy things in my day. D&D was never one of them. The closest I got to the D&D universe was that cartoon that used to come on back in the day.
