I bought a CG-Lock a couple years back when I thought I was going to do some autox, turns out its been sitting in a box (and moved 4 times) since then. Looking for a good home. I opened it, tried to install it on the FXT, but found it did not fit on the '04 FXT seatbelt. I know Julian has had (or currently has) one on his STi, so this is not a 'Subaru' problem.
Great for anyone doing autox, or even 'spirited driving', that wants a little more grip in their seat without spending $100's of dollars.
They go for $42 on the website, doesn't appear that the design has changed, but I'll get this go for half - $20.
Thanks for looking!

Once installed, pulling up on the shoulder belt tightens the lap belt portion "racing harness tight" - keeping it as tight as you want until you release it. The shoulder harness remains unrestrained as normal for maximum arm and upper body movement.
By providing you with about 80% of the holding power of a full racing harness, the CG-Lock (the "CG" stands for "Center of Gravity") prevents you from sliding in your seat. The CG-Lock lets you keep your feet and hands light on the pedals and wheel resulting in better control, faster reactions, and less fatigue. Becoming "one with the vehicle" helps you feel the road and the car's "balance", enhancing your driving abilities.

Sure thing. But again, it didn't fit my '04 FXT, so either a) you'll need to be a smarter man than I (not hard or improbable) or b) not be putting it on a '04 FXT.

Thats a Julian question. I know alot of the autox guys that don't want to put in a harness use these instead. Brian Garfield (who does our autox class) was sponsored by them.

What type of difference are you looking for? It make a difference in that it holds the lower part of your seat belt and keeps you from moving around as much during "spirited driving". However it does not hold you as well as a harness and it does not hold your upper body at all. I have them installed on both protege's and the miata and I like them but I also installed a Schroth Rallye 3 harness (For autox use only I would not drive on regular roads with it) in the MSP and it holds much better than the CG-Lock.
