FS: 2001 RS, Sedan, 5sp, 76K

The time has come to sell my RS. It is absolutely stunning inside and out. 100% Stock, never modded, unless you count Winners Window Tint. The car has a few over 76k on it and runs beautifully. Dealer maintained, no accidents. Everything is in great shape. I just don't drive it enough to justify owning it.

This is the single cleanest GC era sedan you'll find in the area. PM or email for high-res photos and VIN. Asking $8000 OBO. Thanks for looking.

And on to the photos...

Thanks man, I agree. It really kills me to let it go. I'm reeeeeely hoping I'm able to sell it to someone who'll truly build it up to be the car it should have been from the factory.

Hey that Celica is not a shitheap! She's just... quirky. Also she's 16 so she might be going through puberty with a hint of emo.

G'oh! My heart! You hear me Elizabeth? This is the big one! First the Baja, now the GC. I can't take much more of this. Next thing you know Zak is going to sell his Bugeye. Wait a minute...

Why yes, yes they do. The STi and WRX motors drop right into these cars.

and because they are lighter, they are quicker. They are definitely more stealth too :) The biggest problem from what I understand is that the chassis sometimes have more flex since they were not originally designed for that much power.

That looks like a very fine example of an RS. I recently sold mine this past fall and bought a bugeye WRX, and I really do regret it. Sure, the WRX is quicker and handles at least as well, but there is just something inherently more satisfying about throwing the GC body Impreza through the twisties.

I had always planned on swapping in a WRX motor when mine started to show it's age, but it started to look like that was never gonna happen- and I found a good deal on the WRX. Plus the RS is getting rarer by the day.

It's almost tempting enough to make me wanna sell the WRX and go back to the RS...

Good luck with the sale- whoever buys this will not be sorry!

If anyone's reading this who doesn't know Colin or this car, take notice. This is a really nice car. I kept telling Chuck how envious I was. UNnnnnng, is it purty. It needs a friend to drive it, and that's it. And of course, the car has the potential to be a monster, but I'm not so sure how I feel about turning that car (is it a classic already?!) into a gravel-eating, road-burning, honda-insulting monster.

I have a friend in New York with an entire 2006 STI drivetrain – including the DCCD – into his. He's actually a coworker, I've been trying to come up with an excuse to fly up there and see the car.

But, yes, it fits. It's been done.

wish I had the coin, this car diserves a 2.5 swap in the worst way. :(

ingoddamneddeed. let's see. it's:

-the hottest impreza body style ever released
-in excellent condition
-been well maintained
-low mileage for an 01

seriously, if it doesn't go to a good home, i might just explode.

*doublechecks fundage*
yep, i definitely can't afford it and the sti. FSCK.
