Reminds me of back in the day when I got paid $20/day to help a family friend chop and stack firewood for the winter... the guy only had wood heat. We were hauling a bunch of it in the back of his truck one time, stopped for gas and a woman (who was obviously from out of town) asked what we needed that much wood for. I responded "someone's gotta burn the witches!" with a crazy laugh after. :) She probably never drove through our litle town again. :)

when I was growing up we used wood to heat the house. only used the electric heat when we were going out of town. every Sunday all fall and winter, chopping and hauling in wood. I thought it sucked until I started paying my own electric bill.

No jokes here, if I could do anything to reduce my electric bill, I would. IT SUCKS.

I should have taken pics of my mother transporting new furniture in the back of her miata with the roof up and stuff sticking through the back window which was unzipped...or when my mom had a 18ft piece of wood on top of her maxima...she makes me laugh. I tell her she needs a truck but won't buy one and doesn't mind abusing her more precious cars

I grew up in Maine, and we had to split and stack two to three cords of wood every year. Man, I DON'T miss that.
