Hello and About me ...

Hey guys,
My name's Ryan, everyone calls me Seven.
I'm originally from Allentown, PA (about 40 mins North of Philly)
I just moved to Gaithersburg MD and was referred to the board by Alex (gsx-lex)... I'm working for Altered Atmosphere, just so everyone knows, we do a lot of EVO/STI/WRX and dyno work here. So feel free to let me know of your needs.
I have a 1993 Talon TSI AWD with some mods, still on the stock turbo and IC, for now. However, I am considering putting it up for sale for about 4k and getting a 240SX project(S13) and a sport bike. But thats just an idea (unless someone wants to make me an offer haha).
So since I'm new to the area, where's everyone hang out, or meet?

Hey, good to meet you!
For meets, watch our Meets and Events sections, and feel free to watch the MAIC section over at NASIOC.com (it's a Subaru forum, but for the most part they're good people that'll accept a Talon.

)
Anyone been out to the B&N meets lately?

Hey Seven,
Welcome to DCAWD. It's always nice to have people from vendors come on to introduce themselves. What made you move down here? I use to take trips to PSU every weekend to visit my GF, so I went right by your place
You're our second Talon

Alan is our other Talon and he has recently done a decent amount of work.
We meet at alternating locations. The next meet (which will be annouced today) will be at Hard Time's in Springfield, VA on monday. The meet after that (which would be closer to you) is at Dave and Busters at White Flint mall. It would definitely be cool if you came out to meet everyone.
Hope to see you there!

greetings and salutations. I'm looking for sponsors if Altered Atmosphere wants to hand out any free parts/labor...
but seriously, welcome to the club. I dig the Talon. my instructor at HPDE had one with Porsche brakes, racing slicks, and water injection. that was a REAL eye opener after driving Summit Point in my WRX with street tires as my only "mod."
D&B may be closer to you, but they don't have Hard Time's Chili Bubba!
gabe

Hey Seven,
Welcome to the boards. You should definitely try to make it to a meet or two, we're a pretty fun group to hang out with.
As much as I do like the idea of a Sylvia AND a sportbike, what are you going to do in the winter???
Hope to catch ya at a meet.

Hey, I actually moved for the job... I have a few friends spread throughout MD and wanted to attend UMD in the future for school, plus the obvious oppurtunity to work at a shop is nice.

Gabe, Well, nothing is free, but shoot me a pm with what you need, no guarentees cuz I'm a noobie here at AA, but I can work with you

My talon isn't quite as modded, but thanks. And yeah definitely will come to the next GTG provided I can.

Friday and Saturday nights people get together at the Barnes and Noble up in the Rockville area. It's a huge ricer get together, be ready for old sk00l civics with 8" tires doing burnouts, bikes, dropped trucks, etc. Some of the NASIOC guys go up. I've been once, met some interesting folks up there (Jay for instance!)
That's about the biggest meet in MD, the biggest in the area is the Mega Meet that Matt is involved in. Check the Other Clubs Meets section for details on that.
Our D&B meets are in Rockville, there will be one of those coming up in a couple weeks.
