In years past, I used to love Ferraris.
But for some reason, call it growing old, jaded, cynical, whatever, they just don't do anything for me anymore. Oh sure, I'm still impressed with their performance, but I just can't get excited about their cars anymore.
I guess my youth is gone.

I am the same but thinking hard about it, I think it is due mostly to their crazy maintenance costs...and I would rather have a Porsche or Lamborghini...AWD!

Folks with that much money either a) self insure, because why just hand your money over to someone else when you can just be careful or b) spend the money, crash it, blame it on Dietrich, and try to collect insurance money.

The car is "cute" in a strange way. It's the way the headlamp dots and the white-painted front end appear. awww.

And as for the insurance: you carry an extra million with you to buy off the Fiat driver that you clobber.

hey now, europe is not america, although it would be cool to have a lawyer around all the time..

Me: can i do that?
Lawyer: well technically..
Me: *punches annoying little kid*
Lawyer: I got this...

or

anyone remember the thomas crown affair scene when the cops come in to find him having breakfast with his lawyer.

I met a "fun times" lawyer this week. Someone you go to when you did something too much fun... Seems it would apply in this situation.

it's a term the Marines (and the Navy?) use. it's that guy on float who insists he knows all the ins, outs, and loopholes of the legal code that the Marines follow. usually used as a pejorative but sometimes I've heard of guys who really DO know their stuff and are also referred to as a "sea lawyer" by their friends.

a-ha, thanks for the clarification. I've heard some things about maritime law. Sounds like something the life of the party goes for 8)

You aim too high. I would LOVE to own a simple plan Jane 360 Modena. Beautiful, functional, and priced low enough that one day I might be able to afford a third hand one.

I highly doubt I'll ever be able to afford a 360. modern Ferraris hold their value better than they did in the 70's and 80's and even then the maintenance will eat you alive. I love the 360, but I'm not even gonna dream... :?
