Winter wheels
I have a set of winter tires getting ready to be ordered (Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds) but I'm looking to possibly get a set of rims for the winter too. The prodrives will not see snow. I already made that promise to myself.
Anyone know of a good and decently cheap rim (preferably 15-16")? It will only be used for the winter. I also have the option of OEM rims or just purchasing winter steelies.. but if I can find some ok looking rims for the right price, theres no reason I still can't look nice (and not-OEM) in the winter?

That would require 18" wheels then so that is out...maybe Tribeca seats?drwrx wrote:How about Tribeca tires?Cereb Daithi wrote:This is going to turn into franken-scoob's monster. When the winter season starts, it'll be: Impreza body, forester suspension, legacy wheels.... what next!?

If he had free 18s, then he might use them, but having that low a profile tire in PA winter is just asking for bent rims. Not to mention the cost of finding a winter tire for it. Ans as far as auto-x, all that extra unsprung weight with the un-tuned forrester sticks would be fighting for the extra time that the decreased sidewall flex would give you.
