i heard it sucks. gameplay is poop. ending blows ass. not to mention the first 2 were boring. i actually took the original halo back after a week. fps + console = fail. metroid prime 3 is the lone exception, because the wii rules.

I am really antsy to go get this game...but my wife would give me crap and my son would never leave me alone long enough to play it...oh well...the Wii is basically my son's now. He plays it everyday...he is getting really good. He will be 3 this November...maybe I can get him Metroid for his bday? Yeah, good idea

I was wandering around BestBuy today and when I went to ask an employee about a movie, before I opened my mouth, he said, "Halo?"

Epic failure. Totally not interested in Halo 3 and I have a 360

it's fun, I like it. so far it's much better than Halo 2, but not as good as Halo. was able to meet up with some buddies from back home last night and we had a blast. but it's not the greatest console game evar.

I'm actually not so disappointed with it. I think Halo 1 was a pretty good game. Bear in mind, I'd been waiting since it had been a Mac game, and I was a fan of the Marathon series, so I was kind of one of the unwashed masses, even before it came out.

Halo 2 seemed to focus a lot more on the multiplayer game, and Penny Arcade was correct when they said it was incredibly repetitive.

Halo 3 is really very pretty. That's one of the things that has impressed me most: the level of detail on everything. You can see the items in front of you through a rifle scope as well as the reflection of things behind you on the eyepiece. The new (and old) weapons are kind of ho-hum. The vehicles are fun. The plot is lacking, but then it has a lot to live up to when compared to Halo 1. Compared to a lot of FPS games, it's right about in line.

Really, though, it will be nice to see an end cap on the Halo franchise (if that's what this is) and Bungie concentrating on something different. One of the interesting things about Bungie's affiliation with Microsoft is it's the first time Microsoft has controlled a hardware platform and been the company writing software for it as well. My guess is the Bungie people have been pushing the people back at hwdev within Microsoft to make a better console. (although this didn't help Sega)

I'm not that good, but I like to play just the same. co-op multiplayer is a LOT of fun on the harder difficulty levels.
