rally armor mud flaps

Post by chicken n waffles »

i'm considering picking up a set.

any advantage to the more expensive urethane flaps vs. the "classic" ones? i have my eye on the classic set with blue lettering found here. i just want a set that will hold up through the seasons.

anyone w/ these care to chime in? gabe?

I know G-money seemed pretty happy with his. I admit, it does help add a little more "rally" to the look of the car. I dig it.

I got mine on the first "printing" with no logo. I love 'em!

one unintended benefit: they stick out just far enough to act as curb-feelers. I haven't gotten a case of curb rash since I installed them.

um, classic i guess. they only had one model back when I ordered. I had pre-ordered so I got the first batch with no logo. I like Rally Armor but not enough to pay them to advertise their company.

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

Kleen you have one of the very first sets we began producing many years ago, and quite a few revisions have taken place since then. The current version (V4) of the classic series is about an inch higher off the ground to compensate for for a variety of suspension conditions, with a different hardware setup (stainless steel/plastic)

Image

Ben to answer you question -The UR series flaps are made of same premium urethane sheeting which we provide for rally use to various motosports teams we work with:

Except in a street version variety as shown:

Owners of lowered vehicles can take advantage of the "flex factor" of the "UR's" which is inherent in the physical properties of urethane as well as the both ends of extreme temperatures. The UR limited is also highly reccomended for sport use as they flex and yield as necessary as conditions require yet maintain their form without the excessive "curling" effects seen in some of the generic mud flaps. The URs are also priced at almost half the cost of any other type of true bolt on urethane flap.

We also have some additional rally flap information on our FAQ page found here:

As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to give us a call during business hours, or email to sales@rallyarmor.com

Thanks again everyone

We have made custom one off light mounts in the past, (which were actually extensions of our skid plates) although currently we do not have immediate plans to release.

We are going to be stocking Hella lighting in the next few weeks, as well as releasing some great new Rallyarmor products :)

I actually have a question. Do you do any custom fab work? I know you said you had some things already that weren't being released, but would you take special orders? I'm looking for a skid-plate lightbar setup, but I'm looking for something more like the rallyinnovations car

Image

I like that extra bit of front protection it provides.

I'm waiting on a response from them about making one to fit an 05, but I'd also love to check with you guys since i've only ever heard good things.

ah damn looks like rallyarmor stopped checking here for now.

Update on rallyinnovations is they won't be making that light bar for for ANY body style due to lack of interest apparently and their version of skid-plate for the 05 won't be available until next month at the earliest.

Still here ;)

Well see if we could dig up those pics of the extension we had created. It had multiple settings on it to compensate for all the differences in the bumpers throughout the years.

No problem, the URs are an excellent product and we are sure you will be pleased as we have had nothing but great feedback with them.

in regards to the light mount, we did have a plate extension that bolted to the front rallyarmor skid plate bolts:

We've been scouring the previous site backups for the images, we'll post as soon as we find them! (site was redesigned earlier this year)
