Black Wasabi June 11th crack of dusk photo shoot

Post by sirwilliam »

Now w/ the Gold T2s shod w/ 225/40/18s. I think they are too low for my setup but you may think different. I like less wheel gap that my 235/55/17s give me and I am a sucker for my gunmetallic wheels.

i think they look fine. the only reason i'd sell them is because gunmetal wheels on black give me a chub.

Yeah, I am prevy to them as well. I would sell these only due to the wheel well gap and the fact that if I wanted to go to a larger size tire to cure the gap, it would cost me more time and money than it is worth. The size is for someone running WRX/STi suspension w/ lowering springs.

personally, i think the gap is fine, especially considering it's a forester. it's not drastic at all, you're just used to the smaller gap with the other wheels so it seems like a lot to you. when i took the cobb springs off the sti and installed prodrives, for the first couple days i felt like i was driving around in a truck. now i love the more subtle drop (over stock).

I've got to go with Ben on this one. The less wheel gap is not bad at all. The gold wheels look good as well. It's up to you, but I like the new look.

I have to say, I like the black and gold. the wheel gap is fine. Especially considering that the Forester is supposed to be a SUV of sorts. But, if you want to make it useless as a potential off-road vehicle that is, of course, your problem and not mine.

I still have potential for offroad but that basically went out the door w/ the first mod, an STi 20mm solid RSB to replace the factory hollow 17mm.

Now I am far from ever taking it off-road (if I can help it...I am allergic to snow ditches  ) but I love driving in the snow...in a controlled fashion.

YEah, rubbing salt in my scarred flesh! No, I am fine. Sure miss my old car, though.

Wish I could have gone the whole nine yards like on this car:

Yes, lots of mods to go ON the car

Here is a list so far(stuff that is waiting to go on):

Swift springs
KB rear end links
MoBoost LLWS
STI 20mm RSB w/ larger mounts
Hawk HPS pads (F&R)
Coated SS brake lines
Rockblocker paint and light protection kit
'05 VF39 (20k miles w/ no shaft play)
'06 STi TMIC (mint w/ only ~17k miles)
V7 JDM STI scoop splitter to be modified by friend to fit better
Custom ground kit

Soon to be getting...

Prodrive 2.5" axleback (used)
Cobb Catted DP (used)

So just a couple things so far

It would have taken me longer to acquire all this stuff but when a good/great deal comes my way, I can't pass it up
