this one is pretty good! just try to get a clean background and shoot from either a ladder or down low to the ground. pretty much any angle that's a little different than eye level. just look at some car magazines for examples off good framing and angles, and practice. an if that doesn't work there's always photoshop...

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I was just trying to spit these images out right away this morning to let people see the new ride height and I don't have photoshop at work (not yet anyways
)...these are just rough, autofocus pics straight from my Canon PS S400. There aren't really any good locations near my work that I know of.

just keep your eyes open. sometimes a great location is created as much by the framing of the shot as by the location itself.
and a digital camera lets you experiment as much as you want without wasting film.

Yeah, I think our cars would need the works. Might be something to think about as a reward for the MSP once it's running again. Since there's grass in the front wind splitter and a wasp nest in the one wheel well....

It's in, but after 2.5 days, it's still giving Shawn issues. He and Blake (the guy from VA Beach) spent all weekend working on it.

what did he charge for the exterior (web site quotes "$100 and up")? I've got a few nasty spots from other people's doors...

Well, from what I found out. He usually charges $50/hr. My car was in desperate need of his help, especially after being attacked by an 8ft construction sign. He got all of those gashes/scratches out. He took roughly 6 hours to do mine but I only paid for 5.5hrs. There was a little misunderstanding in the beginning that I thought we had agreed on $250 but that was just his estimate to me. He said he would do it for $250 b/c he didn't want me to be misled b/c of the misunderstanding but I said I didn't want to cheat him since he did such a good job...so we settled on $275. Yeah, it is not the cheapest but you are also paying for convenience (he comes to wherever you are (work or home...just needs an outlet for his 100ft extension cable), and supplies all the tools and products. Most detailing places will charge extra to come out to you. He came to my work and worked on my car while I worked. I think it was well worth the money. The pictures I posted don't do justice for the job he did. My car was in bad shape from detailing neglect. Of course he can't work miracles on some of the bad stuff like paint cracks and deep, deep scratches that are past the paint. I also have a crap load of paint chips that I need to touch up when I got the chance that you notice more when your car is clean and shiney.
