Well, except for the color and the audio.
Here
Except for the pretty parts, the mechanical upgrades seem to mirror my philosophy, just implemented a lot more cleanly.

Gyark! Why does does it have to be yellow? Other than that, I approve.

I don't know, I kind of think the yellow fits her!

OK, strange twist here.
The seller contacted me and offered to sell it for $4K. I'm going to be a short two hour drive from him next week.
I could sell the AV crap off and get some track or Auto-X tires. How cool would that be for a dedicated track beater? I figure I could drop the subs, caps, & batteries, strip out the interior, and be close to 2000 lbs running ~240 RWHP.
Who knows, I might ahve a Colin moment and find that something followed me home...
That is if this is all legit.

DO IT!!! Damn, that would be a hell of a track car me thinks!

Looking like a scam. Dude keeps replying with form letters not answering any questions. He, or someone else genned up a real good spoof e-mail from e-bay.
The mail had all the terms & conditions of the Buyer Protection program with active links that went back to the e-bay program. Everything was looking legit untill there was a request to put a $3000 down payment on it through Western Union... Then I checked the e-mail headers and saw that it had bounced around yahoo and not e-bay servers.
I'm gonna see how long I can string this guy on...

EBay Auto sale + Western Union = SCAM
tell him to drive it up to your hotel and you'll give him the cash.

Tell him you're willing to pay the $3K into an escrow account. See if he'll go for that.

Hehe, he has stopped replying to me, but I got a few different accounts to bug him with and now he says he is out of town and can't do it in person.

Dumb question, did you report him to ebay/paypal/etc?

Ja, but just got the form response back. Probably won't get to hear the resolution.
