OK, I think we have reached a new low

Khumo came out with their tires that produced colored smoke when you spun the wheels.

OK

I can see the point in that. Looks cool, esp when combined with a good set of drivers.

But now this, I can see no use for. Stick a damned AirWick on your air vent and call it a day. Unless there is something to the merketing speak they have in here.

Yep, one of our committee members found them last week and posted to the local group:

"First person that shows up to a WDCR event with these gets their SCCA
license revoked.

Do people really want to say "smell my tires"?

aww, come on you guys... I could go for some orange scented tires. Maybe it would overpower the smell of clutch/brakes that usually eminates from my car at a stand-still.

 This goes along with "Make something idiot proof and they'll make a better idiot..." Someone somewhere will buy these... and hopefully they will be criticized properly!

I wish they made them in the right size to fit the miata. I would love to get a set of these.

The problem with them is the scent only lasts for about a year so you would need to replace them every year (maybe only having 2 would still smell as nice? and you would only need to replace every other year then)

Read: designed for those who think owning a luxury car is equivalent to having class.

I do like these, but I can't imagine ever having them for anything but a joke.

I once pulled onto the sidewalk in front of a movie theater and did burnout donuts until I had worn an oily black circle onto the concrete (I don't actually remember why I was so angry with them). But, I can see a need for tires that left bad-smelling fumes in their wake.
