According to John Rodman, product manager for the Xbox.
“We don’t feel like the Wii customer and the Xbox customer are the same thing.”
“We think that as soon as the Wii customer turns 14 they want something else.”
Linkholio

P.S. The 360's getting an upgrade. 360 l33t edition.

Funny since most of the people playing the Wii are people who have never picked up a console controller. It's being widely used in nursing homes and the such. Hell, I love it just because it's something different!

I think M$ is in a pretty good position what with Sony insulting customers in numerous ways (you'll want to work a second job to buy it, no rumble because it interferes with the 6-axis, etc.) and Nintendo aiming for the "fun" market and not the hard core gamers.

supposedly if you order now they come with a collecters edition sack, in either white or flesh coloring... how did that slip through marketing?

Sony's response to the XBox 360 Elite? "All our customers are 'elite'."

LOL-erz
"...We view every single PlayStation consumer as an elite consumer. Meaning no one is going to get shortchanged at the end of the day, whether they bought one on day one or just yesterday," (Dave) Karraker says.

unless you feel shortchanged when you realize that you don't have any "rumble" feedback on your original PS3 controller...
