Bump for 5 days away!!
I hope DCAWD turns out for this... mostly because I want the Subies to beat out the G35/350z, SRT4, and '04 SVT Cobra armies that showed up last time.
+ It for a really really great cause and helps DC area homeless
600-1000 cars showed up last Spring, hopefully we can double that number this year!

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Okay. Holy nice cars Batman! There were a ton of beautiful rides there.
I happily dropped off a few cans at the tables, walked around for a bit with RJ and his buddies.
One BIG problem with the day - There were way too many retarded, imbred, dangerous ricers in attendance.
I saw everything from STi's hitting boost in third gear - in the freaking parking lot! to BMW pricks trying to driftoro in the parking lot, to bikers wheelstanding on the way out.
<personal_rant>
Grow the up you stupid little kids before you kill someone. That was just plain wrong. Save that for your favorite backroad or your favorite track. There is zero place for a ricer flyby in a 20mph zone.
</personal_rant>
I can understand the day getting one "amped up" or whatever. I've got just as much nitro in the blood as the next car nut. But everyone needs to temper that itchy gas foot with one's surroundings.
That being said, there were a very huge number of responsible people there who were definitely there to have a good time. I was pleased to see them.

there was a continuous line of EVOs tearing a$$ out of the side parking lot while I was there. then came the "drifting" BMWs. then the Mustangs, then... and these people wonder why we gear-heads have a bad rep with the authorities.
there were some really nice cars there, more than a few exotics, and one Scooby with a DCAWD sticker. I'll post a few of my pics tonight.
