Mick (mIk) n. [shortened form of Michael]
- Derogatory term for individual of Irish descent
Just an FYI, Ben & I will be making our annual pilgrimage to ye old irish pub Murphy's this Saturday, starting at about 1000. The pub opens at 0800.
Murphy's can be found hmah!
This is a fantastic day to be irish, and a fantastic day to hang out if you're not. Great times, great food, great friends, great music, etc, etc, etc...
Since it takes place on a Saturday this year, I can pretty much promise it's going to be absolutely STUPID crowded by noon. Get your beer muscles goin', meet us early, and try and hang as long as we did last year (a little over twelve straight hours of drinking)
Oh yea... wear comfortable shoes and bring as little with you as possible.
It's a grand experience, and one of the few days us potato lovin' micks can celebrate alcoholism...

I think I'll just switch over to my Irish name from my mom's side.
Darrigh Mcarty
Sorry I couldn't attend the Murphy's festivities.
I had to spend the day with my friends who own McKeever's, the Irish Pub in McLean.

Funny you mention that. Right now there've been a few ideas tossed around regarding location.
It's going to be super last minute, but there will be some of us taking leave on Monday...and possibly a late arrival on Tuesday.
I'll post something up if a venue is decided upon.
So far we've been considering Murphy's as well as McFadden's and Fado.
We'll see, stay tuned!

If anyone is oot and aboot, we're heading over to McFadden's in DC. Right next to Marcel's (24th, L, Penn)
Call my cell if you've got it, PM me if ya don't.
