PIAA light install

My good-buddy showed up today at my place to get some help in installing some PIAA lights on his Jeep Wrangler. (2 Driving lights and 2 Fog lights)

It was a relatively painless process. The hardest parts were me having to drill into the bumper because the OEM holes were too small, and the way the bolts are designed they don't like to tighten and STAY tight.

Anyways that's not what this thread is about. This thread is to show pics of just how ungodly bright these things are. Against legal advice he had me wire them so that they could both be turned on at any time. Hi or Low beam.

The result was pretty much instant daylight.

Here are the lights.

here is a brighter view of the lights

we figured it was time for a 3am test drive.

To the roads we went. The results were staggering. (this pic doesnt do it justice)

even simple road signs were turned into lethal weapons

(that was a yellow diamond sign right by my place)

To give you an idea of what it's like to be on the recieving end. The first car we passed... flashed his high beams at us from a 1/4 mile away. These things are BRIGHT!

If you were considering PIAAs.... these things rock.

(PS: metal splinters in the fingers suck!)

Very nice job. We had a guy (Andy?) that use to have a red RS that had GIGANTIC lights on the front of it. Same results: Instant daylight :)
