I think he gives a very balanced answer; it depends on what you are using it for.

The most poignant snippets for me were the hierarchy of feature importance:

1. Contrast Ratio/Dynamic Range
2. Color Saturation
3. Colorimetry/Color Temperature or Grayscale
4. Resolution
and the comparison of 1 and 3 chip processors:
With the current market, at the same price point the decision is often between single-chip 1080p and three-chip 720p projectors. Because it has no color wheel, the higher color accuracy of three-chip technology may very well outweigh the enhanced resolution that comes with 1080p.
If a person giving you advice doesn't take into account your viewing importance, then they are probably trying to sell you something that they have...
