so I have to ask, what sort of person signs off each email with a quote of their own? we have a customer (user  ) here at work that attaches a quote as part of his signature that he attributes to himself.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.

i used to work with a guy in the DoD who had "and that's the way it is" in his signature. i always wanted to cut his face off and firebomb his house, you know, because that's the way it is.

 Yes. I can always count on you for humor.

@Mr.Kleen, it is indeed incredibly tacky to attribute something to yourself. How do people think that quotes from "anonymous" came about? It's the polite way to do it!

I think any Outlook stationary should be grounds for a public flogging or caning...

I can't stand it when use that crap. The notebook coils or the flowers and birds and scheisse. I don't need any of that garbage, just send the damn email. Also, I hate it when they have pictures and smiles flying around their signatures. These people need to be dragged into the street, beaten with heavy mining equipment, and left bleeding in the moonlight.

he isn't using stationary, just a signature with a bad quote that he attributes to himself.

fortunately nobody here (that I've seen so far...) uses stationary.

stationery, as well as 3MB gifs (company logo, etc) in a signature should = instant revocation of computer, domain account, testicles

Perhaps I should count my blessings - the Navy recently forced all e-mail to be text only.

Of course, this doesn't prevent people from putting lame quotes in their signature. (I'm trying to keep your threads on-topic, Gabe)
