My buddy John has an '06 UTEC for a steal of a deal over on Nabisco. Here is the thread quoted:
Used in a 2006 STI.
1. UTEC STI Stage 2 comes with it's box, map selector, documentation, wires, cable, plugs, brackets, ABC and everything else in working order as of its removal. First one with $380 cash takes it. Prefer not to ship.

Sorry, Chuck...I thought you were tuned already. Man, this "oldtimers" is really kicking in. My mind is running bass-ackwards lately.
Couldn't you get cash using your credit card? I could have him hold it for you if you like. I can also pick it up during a lunch brake b/c he works right down the road in Sterling from me. Let me know.

and now that the AP2 is out you can choose from the new one with all the snazzy features or scan for sale posts for an original AP from people who are upgrading.

USB->Serial converters for the win!!! I have an extra one that just needs the driver disk. Zak brought me a driver disk, but I haven't tried it yet. You're more than welcome to test it out

yeah, one of things I don't like with my AP 1. I would rather not fool with serial to USB converters. but, what'cha gonna' do?
