I didn't know that they were all AT's! I wonder if they would ever try to produce another SVX....

there are guys that put 5-speeds into them. There is some discussion about a 5-speed lowering its top end speed however i havent seen any hard numbers to prove that. the SVXs had the true 4EATs though wtih a little button on the side of the shifter that was labled clearly "manual" where you could lock out all the gears.

those cars arent really about acceleration.. like he said.. its a tank... once you're moving..i duno i cant quite explain it.

i doubt subaru will remake these now that they legacy has taken off the way it has though. really a shame. they were truly unique.

now that the baja is dead (sniffle) they need another niche car. perhaps an updated svx with lower curb weight and a manual gearbox would do the trick . IT'S GOTTA HAVE THE GOOFY WINDOWS THOUGH.

i've always respected subaru for taking design chances. who the hell wants to drive an accord?

I think the Legacy has taken the market for the SVX. interesting windows on the SVX but I'd prefer an LGT. :)
