The New Guy....
So I noticed Sabre posting on NASIOC and then managed to figure out that DCAWD, was most likely in the same Washington DC that my wife and I recently made our new home...We are living in a condo very near where King street intersects 395.
Great to know that their are enthusiasts in the area; and easily enough found. I hail from Florida, the central region and I currently own a silver 2003 WRX Wagon:twisted:. My fellow lunatics are from International Motorsports, you may have heard of IMVFilms. They've driven/filmed several Gum Ball rallies now and have been developing and recording the experiences ....
Anyhow, looking forward to meeting you guys. Sabre said something about Wednesday night. I've been to that particular D&B before but I will not be able to attend this week b/c of the Battlefield band performance...

Welkomen!
Yes, I am a fan of the GUM BALL films. I liked the one where the blue S4 wagon lost a wheel in transit and the M3 roadster coupe got run off the road by a tractor trailer that was crazy.
I would have loved to drive that but I am married w/ child. To many obligations and wife WOULD NOT approve.

welcome aboard! I live between Duke and Seminary, so I'm just a few minutes from your place. I love the Gumball and would be very interested in hearing some stories...
the meet this Wednesday is at Dave and Busters in Whiteflint mall (Maryland). every other meet is at Hard Times Cafe in Springfield (a 5 minute drive south from us).
hope to see you at a meet sometime.

Well met!!!
I'll try to make it out asap, perhaps next week in Springfield. I really want to go to the last t&t down at MIR. I was here 2 years and several cars ago and raced down there (was interning in DC)
this happened at my last job as well. Several other "normal" forums were blocked by the local routers; NASIOC for one.Mr Kleen wrote:when attempting to access IMVFilms site:sounds like my kind of site! This content of this website, http://www.imvfilms.com/, has been filtered because it was found in one or more of the following content categories: Illegal or Questionable

Welcome.
If you havn't realized it yet, your location of residence is blessed by having some well banked tight off-ramps from 395. I used to go home by missing one exit and taking yours to get the lateral groove on.
Even if it is not a meet week, keep checking the DCAWD Events page. We get together for drinks, movies, hockey... and end up talking cars anyways.
