Autoblog wrote:We've seen more spy shots of the upcoming Subaru Impreza WRX STi than we care to recount, but it looks like the first official image of Subie's road rocket has finally been leaked on the web. While there's been no confirmation from Subaru that this pic is the real deal, it has that official flavor that only press pics seem to have. Unfortunately, this particular pic is dark by nature and obscures many of the elements in which we're interested like the grille and lower front bumper. What we can see is gigantoid hood scoop, mega wide front fenders, and what appears to be a large rear wing out back. The official arrival of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi is imminent, as the debut will take place at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. Suburu will likely release its full batch of official images and specifications before then. Until then, chew on this.

I'm not a big fan of them at least not thus far, but this one looks pretty damn hot, I wish I could find a full pic of it. Minus some of the ricey things. Maybe it's just cuz it's white that I really like it!

I found a couple pics by CUSCO for SEMA... I like VividRacing's one better:

it does, but that's definitely a wrx. the lack of flared fenders is a dead giveaway.

Amen brother! When the tuning world get's it's hands on this (once the tuning software can crack the new ECU that is) you will see some HUGE power increases!

I hate to say this... but the Hydra has additional inputs (both digital and analog) as well as outputs... so controlling the additional AVCS solenoids won't be a problem :)

I don't like you anymore Alan!!!!!

BTW, I plan on flashing my stock ECU so I can run with it up to the emissions stations when I need to. Enginuity has made my life much easier :)

Unfortunately, you still will have to spend some time doing some actual tuning to make sure the car runs and idles correctly, even off boost, so you can get it to and from the inspection station, and so they don't fail it for other reasons (visible smoke, audible misfires, etc.)

Shouldn't be that hard considering the number of maps available right now. Just a matter of grabbing one of those and tweaking it I hope... Will be a winter project for me :)

Initial STI Reviews...

Post by WRXWagon2112 »

...as compiled by AutoBlog.com sound encouraging:
Some of our favorite online reads released their initial driving impressions of the new for '08 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, and the consensus seems to be that the new STI is a big step forward, with a competent combination of daily usability and track-ready driving dynamics.

edit: this is a bit worrisome:
