if anyone knows about accessing FTPs using a mac.. i need your help lol. it seemed straightforward. but on two seperate ftps... everything loads up and when it asks for my username and password it ALWAYS says the username/password are incorrect. I try all different variations of the cases and spacing. I try using mutliple methods... I try blowing in the cartridge. nothing. i report back to the people and they say "i just tried the username and password i gave you and it worked fine for me".... so im at a loss. im still waiting on a response from the 2nd one. am i just an idiot and missing something obvious? is this something to do with my router (doubtful but hey)... or do the ftpernets hate me
oh and
Yes i have tried using different cases and varitaoins of each
Yes i made sure the capslock was turned off
Yes I have tried copying and pasting the login info from the email just to be sure
Yes it seems to connect to the site. I get the password screen to popup. (takes about a minute to fully get there...)
Yes i drive an RS

I feel your pain. FTP + OSX = nitemare. I remember spending hours trying to find a GD freeware program that allowed me to dload/upload form an FTP. I ending up using terminal and some baisc UNIX ftp commands. Good luck to ya!

Did you try:
-Eating green eggs and ham
-A keg stand followed by 11 hours of basketball
-Putting candles in your ears and lighting them
-Mating a Shitzu and a Mule
Hopefully one of the above will help you in life or w/ FTP'ing.

Some FTP's use SSL now or other auth. methods. You might want to ask to make sure that they are not. Also, are these behind firewalls (or are you?) You might need to use PASV mode (although, this should not affect the login problem, it will affect directory listings and such).
