Hey everybody,

I wanted to try and get some first hand opinions regarding aftermarket brake pads. Does anyone here have a fav? Ideally, I would like a set of pads with better grip (higher temp stability, etc) and as little extra dust as possible. Longevity and noise are NOT a concern. I just don't want to have to wash my wheels every other day (ala axxis ult.)

I think right now I'm looking at the EBC and carbotech pads. Lemme know what you think and thanks for lookin!

I've used the Porterfield R4S and Carbotech Bobcats in my 4-pots in the past.

I can speak to the Carbotech's as they are the most recent pads, and I've done more on them. They worked well at the track and auto-x course. I wasn't pushing the car (7/10's or so) and never experienced fade their or on the auto-x course (9/10's).

It worked out to washing the car every 2-4 weeks or so, depending on driving conditions, weather and how anal I felt about the wheels being dirty. I'll probably stick with the Carbotechs next brake change, as they have served me well in the last 1.5 years.

Vote #2 for Bobcats, tho they are not track pads and they will fade on a road course unless it's raining or you are not pushing them very hard.

They dust more than stock and mine made noise for a while until I re-antisquealed them.

I have Hawk HPS they are great! Silent barely any dust...

hahaha, lol. when i get the bug, i get it baaaaad. i've really been trying hard not to blow too much coin on my ride lately.... for i have eyes for another woman... things should be interesting right about fall or so.... stay tuned!

Sorry man...missed the "no dust" part.

Porterfields are good. I had them, and the dust was tolerable.

Hawk HPS are a great set of pads. The PBR Ultimates are also a very good brake pad.
