Well it's time to get a new phone. Almost positive I'm going to get a motorola Q. Any of you guys have one? If none of you do I guess I'll write a review here once I have it.

i've read a TON of bad reviews on it. battery life is bad, windows mobile freezes/crashes constantly, slow, no true "push" email (although i think that might be b.s.), etc. i decided to go play with one at a verizon store last weekend and wasn't impressed at all. the only 2 things i can see that it has going for it are the form factor and the flash memory slot. i decided to go with the blackberry 8703e. that thing is friggin awesome.

well here is what im saying. i can afford anything within the Q range... direct me to the best phone!
EDIT: Just spoke to my friend who has a Q. he loves it. hes nt sure about the internet browsing issues.... but he says it doesnt seem slow to him and he's never had his battery go dead (and i know him...he uses it ALOT) so it still might be an option for me.

i'd say get whatever makes you happy.
do some homework on it before you buy, though.

looks like they did a relauch or something and fixed all the glitches. I'm gona get the Q. it looks like it's reviews suffered greatly in the beginning, but it looks like its battery life is greater than the 8703e under "normal considtions" and the fixed the freezing problem. The Blackberry looks great and the one thing that had me interested over the Q was the Java... but the Q definetly has more going for it in my mind.
I'll tell you my impressions on it once I have it in-hand and have been using it for a bit.

what did you do for a provider for the blackberry? vz, or ?
my old nokia 6820, while i love it, will probably die soon... thinking personal blackberry may be the way to go, but haven't really researched it yet for personal use...

yeah im getting this all through verizon.
here is a side-by-side.
http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compar ... &id%5B%5D=
both phones are great. the thing that sold me on the Q was the daily-use factor. i think i'd be happy with the blackberry if i was using it strictly for business and business only...but im not. I need a phone that will keep me happy for the next two years. while not necessairly important to my daily life, the Q CAN play music as well as take pictures and video. normally I wouldnt see this as a deciding factor (wellt he music isnt since i probably wont take advantage of that) but i use the picture messageing often to send things out to friends as well as my intern for visual reference on things
also the memory card slot is a bonus

Here is a
LINKY with a pic.
And a great quote:
The Suicide Girls pose in many ways. Some appear with lollipops covering their privates. Others bathe naked in tubs of cheese puffs. Yet there is one thing you will never see them pose with.
"It's actually illegal to pose with the penguins in Antarctica," Missy says. "You can't disturb the penguins in their natural environment. Our Suicide Girl there is a research scientist, so she knows the law."
