Post by Sabre »

Hey all,
Any one interested in paintball on Sunday Nov 12? Things to do in DC is getting it together:
http://www.thingstododc.com/events.php?show=672

Cost is 55$ and includes everything you need, including pizza ;)

Let me know if you're interested and we can do a group buy on the tickets to make sure that we all get in!

I tend to be the lie in a densely wooded area and pick off the opposition. Y'know....

Possible in on this as well, like Dave, depending on how many people we can get. Have all the requisite gear (need to find my goggles though) and have been looking for an excuse to play to figure out whether or not to sell my stuff and get rid of it or pick the game back up. This could be just about right.

Hmm, sounds great but that is the weekend of my father's 60th Bday. Not sure if I will be back in town on Sunday.

Is this a private group (<20>30)?

I like me a day of paintball with a group small enough to get to know (and talk smack with on the field), the larger ones with people running aimlessley hither and yon get a bit crazy and you end up wasting paint.

I guess I'm a paintball snobb -- but I can't pass up an opportunity to reach out and touch somebody.

This would be with a group... but if we get enough, we'll do our own :)

I do lean to the private group as well. We've gone from the restaurants before (Us/Colvin Run vs Kinkeads). Lots of fun pummeling those you sorta know. I've seen those open run groups and its like some scene from Shaka Zulu or sumthin.... Just waves of humanity and the hum of auto loaders. Color me the "snob" as well.

I'd love to do a private group. Maybe we should just turn this into a DCAWD thang :)

my dude here at the office is planning a private party game on the 18th out in Leesburg.

Checkit, whou could wait a week and make it on the 18th?
Paintball Time!

When: Sunday, November 19th. We will meet at 8am! DO NOT BE LATE!!!! Lunch will be at 12:30. The second session will go until 4:30.

Where: AG Paintball Games @ PEVS http://www.agpaintballgames.com/
The field is located in Leesburg, VA. We will set a meeting point for those who wish to carpool.

Cost: If you own your own equipment - $36 (Includes both morning and afternoon sessions. You may bring your own paint

If you need to rent equipment - $50. Rentals come with a gun (semi-auto), co2, mask, and some paintball to get you started. Most likely you will need to buy more paintballs than the initial 100. You most buy field paint if you use rental equipment.

RSVP: Please talk to Chris ASAP if you are at all interested. I have already put the money down to hold our reservation. You must RSVP and turn in money to Chris by November 11th. In the past we have had a problem with people backing out at last minute. If you back out the only money you will get back is what you paid for rental equipment. Up before dawn “sickness”, being locked out of your house, car breaking down, or wimping out are not enough to get a refund, sorry.

Notes: This is going to be a great time. This is a PRIVATE game, meaning no walk-ons or strangers will be in our group. The field we are going to is top quality. By late November the temperature should be a little chilly, but honestly that is the best time for paintball. Please invite any friends or family to come along and play with us. All ages (minimum age 10) and skill levels will be out there so don’t worry if you have never played. Lastly, this is an expensive activity; expect to spend $10-20 on paint, additional to rental and admissions fees.

I am celebrating my son's 2 yr birthday on the 18th. His actual Bday is the 16th. Julian, are you turning 2 as well?

I'm out for the 12th - don't know on this one. I think that's getting close to the vacation time that I've planned to take off. Will check the handy dandy calendar (:google:) and post up.

looks like I might just be playing paintball with the other group as I probably won't be able to make it on the 12.
