DCAWD Meet - 5/12/05 D&B's

Post by Sabre »

Hello all,
The next meeting of DC All Wheel Drive will be on Thursday, 5/12/05 at 7:15. This is a regular meet, so we will be meeting for a little while, then going inside to enjoy the fun! If any one has not been to D&B's, think of it as an adult arcade. Lot's of fun things to do (including a 8 person driving game that we usually dominate!). Since it's D&B's, after 10pm you will need to be 21 to stay inside unless you have someone over 25 "watch" you. While we are there, please stay out of the right of ways. No standing in the road and such, just stay in between or infront of the cars :) If hoods open, only leave them open long enough to do you business. Past that, anyone with a love of cars is more than welcome to attend!

When you get to the mall, just follow the direction on the signs to Dave and Busters. When you come to the top of the parking lot, make a left and head to the corner, we will be there :) If you don't see us, keep looking... I'm usually there by 6:45 or so.

Dave and Busters is located at:
White Flint Mall
11301 ROCKVILLE PIKE
Noth Bethesda, MD
(301) 230-5151

Link of map: here

Most up to date information found on our new web site at http://www.dcawd.com

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

PLEASE keep things reasonable coming into the parking lot.

Note: This is an AWD, we meet no matter what Mother Nature throws at us! We are not retricted in anyway to AWD, we weclome anyone with a love of cars!

Take care all and I hope to see you there!

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Yup, I can make this one as well. Monday and Tuesday nights will be taken up with company softball in the near future, but the rest of the week is perfectly open.

Hopefully I won't be working late or something either.

Very cool :) I think that I'm going to bring the charts that you gave me. You know, I'm thinking of doing a dyno run just to see what my curves look like if nothing else. That way I can see how it is going to change the present feel :)

It wouldn't hurt to see where your standing now as a reference point.
Just make sure you use the same dyno for all your measurements.

If only it were this easy to increase the HP of my ride. Alas, I need to use $$$ to purchase a salvaged WRX with engine and drivetrain to get where I want to go.

good to meet you gov'na. Are you the bald-former-navy-seal-wrestler-mr-universe sort of governor or the annoying-electrical-limiter-in-a-golfcart sort of governor? :)

Gotcha. :)

We used to meet at the movie theater at the Eisenhower Metro, but the group grew pretty large pretty quick and we were "encouraged" to find a new location. Right now we're just doing "meet&eat" meets. We're looking for a new location, if anyone has a suggestion let us know.

Darrin, could you bring my pliars to the meet? I *finally* got my boost gauge replaced, so I can return your phantom gauge. Thanks again man, that was a huge favor :)
